Avondale Dairy Bar Stewart Rd.
1932 - Avondale Dairy founded by the Stewart Family.
1956 - Avondale Dairy Bar built for retail sales of milk and fresh Ice cream.
1963 - New Avondale Dairy built and opened. Tours for the people in the community take place.
1963 - Final horse drawn milk route for home delivery of milk stops.
1970 - Beatrice foods purchase Avondale Dairy and Avondale Dairy Bar from the Stewart Family.
1986 - Ray and Deb Sheehan purchase Avondale Dairy Bar from Beatrice Foods.
1987 - Avondale Dairy Bar begins making ice cream cakes and pies.
1994 - We begin to sell ice cream cakes & pies and ice cream tubs to restaurants, grocery stores and other ice cream scooping operations.
1998 - Wild Blueberry hard frozen yogurt wins “Best Hard Frozen Yogurt” of the year at the “National Ice Cream Retailers Convention”.
1998 - “Death by Caffeine” wins best new flavor of the year at “Canada’s Ice Cream Festival”, Woodstock Ontario.
1999 - “English Crumb Cake” wins flavor of the year at Canada’s Ice Cream Festival, Woodstock Ontario.
2001 - “Kahlua Espresso Fudge” wins best coffee type at the National Ice Cream Retailers annual convention.
2001-03-04 &2005 - Our Vanilla and Chocolate win awards for quality at the annual National Ice Cream Retailers Convention.
2006 - 50th anniversary of the opening of Avondale Dairy Bars
2007 - Vanilla and Strawberry won awards at the National Ice Cream Retailers Convention
2008 - Our Vanilla and Chocolate win awards for quality at the annual National Ice Cream Retailers Convention.
2009 - first annual fundraiser for the pediatric ward at the General Hospital. We raised over $3000
